Levan Avalishvili is the Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI). He has 13+ years of proven experience in organization leadership, program management, donor relations and advocacy with government structures. Levan has conducted a large number of training sessions in Freedom of Information and Good Governance, Open Data, Formulation of E-Government Strategies. Levan has outstanding experience in training and building the capacity of Public Servants, Human Resource Managers working with national and/or public authorities. As Senior Expert of Open Society Georgia Foundation (2014) Levan was member of the team for Drafting Freedom of Information Law of Georgia. From 2015 Levan is coordinator of the UNDP funded project - “Supporting Parliament of Georgia Involvement in Open Government Partnership Initiative”. Levan is the author of number of publications and researches on Open Governance, Public Administration, OpenData and Freedom of Information.
