Zohrab Ismayil is a public policy analyst from Azerbaijan. He was part of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan/South Caucasus Pipeline Monitoring/Audit Program of the Open Society Institute in 2004-2006, he served in this program as an expert and member of Adviser Board.

From 2006, he leads the Public Association for Assistance to Free Economy, a think-tank based in Baku. On the other hand, he is one of the founders of the National Budget Group which was founded in 2006.

Also, he served on the Steering Committee of NGO Forum on Asian Development Bank in 2010-2012. In addition, Zohrab Ismayil was elected to the Council of local NGO Coalition on Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative two times and he coordinated this network in 2012-2013.

Finally, Zohrab Ismayil is a Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow (USA) and recently he has done his academic and professional program at the Michigan State University. He is the author of numerous research papers and articles.
