Justine Godson Mponda is a college student pursuing Diploma Human Resource Management at the institute of Social Work,Dar es salaam. Justine Godson Mponda has been actively engaging on environmental and climate change since early in 2012 as a youth interfaith ambassador .Since 2012 up to date, he has been active in national and international platforms to advocate for climate justice agenda through We have faith campaign which is under ACT alliance and Norwegian Church Aid Tanzania. In 2013, he was among the youth selected by Global Network Religious for Children (GNRC Africa) to form a youth interfaith network in Tanzania which is working purely on environment and climate change advocacy. In 2013 and 2014, he has been appointed to be Secretary and lead interfaith youth climate justice caravans. The caravans were organized by Norwegian Church Aid Tanzania and Youth Climate Activists Network. In 2014, Justine was among of the two youth selected to participate to the UNFCC Conference of Parties 20 in PERU-LIMA. In February 2015, he was engaged to the review process of the Ilala Municipal council environmental management acts. This process came after writing a program concept paper to the municipal director to establish a program known as bustani bora, mazingira bora around msimbazi and jangwani ward. Recently, he have been working to facilitate the youth and climate change engagement program-which is being undertaken by Tanzania Youth Vision Association and Youth of United Nations Associations Currently. he is a global goals youth champion under United Nations Tanzania. Also, he is a project coordinator on Public expenditure tracking survey-which examines the public financing and expenditures on health, education, water and agriculture sectors.
