Biography by Remmy Nweke: Remmy Nweke is the Lead Strategist DigitalSENSE Africa Media and Group Executive Editor, of international award-winning DigitalSENSE Business News and award-winning NaijaAgroNet, and ITRealms. With over 18-year experience in media practice and social enterprise, Remmy Nweke is an author and internationally acclaimed multiple award-winning journalist and holds a Master Degree in Contemporary Diplomacy from University of Malta since 2010. Fellow of Cyber Policy on Human Right Defender, member of Africa Civil Society on Information Society (ACSIS), CAADP Journalist Network and National Coordinator, Media Coalition Against Child Malnutrition (MeCAM-Nigeria) as well as the Secretary General, ECOWAS Network of Science Journalists to name a few. Remmy is the pioneer Secretary, Cyber Security Experts Association of Nigeria (CSEAN) Remmy Nweke was until recently a Senior Reporter with Champion Newspapers, one of the Nigeria’s leading dailies for over 14 years. Remmy proved his worth by clinching over 15 awards in the last decade on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) business economy, with at least, an international professional award per year. He is the first Nigerian Winner, 2004/2005 African Siemens Profile award on Information Technology (IT) Business Solution; Second prize in Local Content Application category at the African Information Society Initiative (AISI) awards 2005 organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Second prize winner, African Information Society Initiative media awards on Local Content Application category, 2005; 2006 – First-ever HANA ICT Journalist of the year; 2007 Second prize winner in ICT Research and Innovations category of AISI at the Global Knowledge Partners (GKP-2007) in Malaysia and First-ever winner for Free & Open Source Software Foundation for Africa (FOSSFA) 2010, to name a few. Nominated into International WHO'S WHO of Professionals 2009 Edition. In 2016, he won the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) Presidential Award on Online and has attended several training on Open Data which led to the creation of ‘Open Data 101” in DigitalSENSE Business News monthly offering to educate and enlighten readers across Africa and beyond.
