Dan Swislow is senior partnerships officer at the National Democratic Institute (NDI), a non-profit organization with offices in 65 countries that works to strengthen democratic institutions worldwide. Dan leads the Institute's presence in Silicon Valley and helps manage global programs related to open government and civic innovation. This has included NDI's co-founding of the Blockchain Trust Accelerator, partnership with Code for All, building a curriculum for the Civic Tech Leadership Program with Stanford University, and launching a global program to address anti-democratic online trolling and advocate for an open internet. Dan previously helped found the OpeningParliament.org community and led efforts toward legislative branch participation in the Open Government Partnership (OGP). He serves on the advisory boards of Democracy Earth and Bolt Energy. Prior to joining NDI, Dan worked as a political and campaign operative for members of the U.S. Senate. He holds an MPP from Georgetown University and BA from New York University.
