Opeyemi Oni is a development activist and she’s very passionate about diaspora's involvement in their homeland development. She is a member Global Partnership on Social Accountability (GPSA) and Open Government Partnership (OGP). she is currently facilitating the involvement of Nigerians in Diaspora Organization, America Chapter (NIDOA) in the development of Nigeria’s OGP National Action Plan. With a Master’s degree in International Studies and having worked in the non-profit sector for 13 years, she joined other like-minded individuals to establish Engage Diaspora Foundation, Inc. The organization is working with various African diaspora groups to identify development needs of their home countries. We also facilitate their participation and contributions towards the development of foreign and national policies that will foster citizens’ participation in development, accountability and transparency.
