Diana Bancheva graduated from the American University in Bulgaria with a double major in History and Political Science in 2004. She has a Master’s degree in Management of Information Resources from the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.” Since 2004, she has been working at the Access to Information Programme Foundation, a Bulgarian NGO with 20 years of experience in advocacy for access to information, openness of government, and transparency and accountability of institutions. Diana Bancheva has been the communications officer for AIP, coordinating a number of campaigns, initiatives and projects. She is the coordinator for the national Right to Know Day Awards Ceremony held annually on 28 September since 2003 in Bulgaria.
