Yuen Ho is a Policy Associate at J-PAL Global, where she manages the Governance Initiative and supports the Political Economy and Governance sector more broadly. She also writes and helps manage J-PAL policy publications and serves as liaison to the MENA region.

Yuen holds an M.A. in International Economics and Relations from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where she specialized in development economics and was honored with the Best Economics Student Award. She also holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her honors undergraduate thesis examined firm clustering and R&D activities in Taiwan.

Prior to joining J-PAL, Yuen worked with Innovations for Poverty Action on a randomized evaluation of a budget transparency initiative in Uganda. She has also worked as a consultant for the World Bank’s Water and Sanitation Program.
