Giulio Carini is a campaigner and researcher for the Italian anti-corruption organisation, Riparte Il Futuro, where he works on initiatives including lobbying transparency and protection of whistleblowers. Previously, Giulio worked for the think tank Counterpoint where he campaigned to save the Human Rights Act in the UK, and as a campaigner for Global Witness where he authored reports and briefs on transparency, accountability and anti-corruption issues in the natural resource sector, with a particular focus on the Middle East. Prior to working in the non-profit sector, Giulio was an attorney for various international law firms, including Latham & Watkins, where he worked with the oil industry sector. He holds a Juris Doctor from Cornell University and an MA in International Relations Theory from King's College, London. He lives in Rome, Italy.
