I was born 40 years ago and have spent close to 20 years of that advocating for transparency , accountability and best practices in governance. Whether as the Secretary General of the University of Ibadan Students Union where , along with other young activists we fought for the return of democratic rule in our country, or after that as a civil society activist who participated in the various advocacies that led to the institutionalization of FOI laws in my country, I have been at the vanguard of more transparency , openness and recently open data advocacies by government institutions in my country. Although with a PhD in Human Nutrition, I am currently undertaking a one year Masters program in Public Policy and Administration at the London School of Economics , under the UK Government's Chevening Scholarship, with particular research interests in effective bureaucracies aimed at delivering quality services to the people while engendering accountability and transparency. I am the Executive Director of the Centre for Transparency Advocacy in which capacity most of my advocacy initiatives have been driven.
