Her research has focused on the study and analysis of new paradigms of governance, with a clear inspiration in the model of European governance and decentralized cooperation and policy analysis on anti-corruption, transparency, citizen participation bilateral relations between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean that have led to address the development of the doctoral thesis on Open Government policies.
