Zlatko Atanasov was appointed as a Head of the Parliamentary Institute appointed in March 2013. His main task is to provide leadership and strategic directions for the work of the Parliamentary Institute. He is also in charge for strategic programming and development of research, education, communication, library and archive services. The head of the Parliamentary Institute is ultimately responsible for managing the working process and employees and secures that objectivity, impartiality and time efficiency principles are respected. Since 2015, Zlatko Atanasov has been additionally appointed as the deputy ECPRD correspondent of the Macedonian Assembly.

Mr. Atanasov has worked previously on European issues within the Secretariat for European Affairs, then UNDP, and local self-government. He is a holder of Master Degree in European integration and Regionalism from Graz University, Austria.
