Teemu Ropponen has been working in the ICT sector for over 15 years in various team/project/development leadership roles, in startups, IT corporations, e-democracy development at the Finnish Ministry of Justice, leading a small ICT non-profit in Liberia, and now since March 2015, he has been executive director of Open Knowledge Finland. He has been an active member of the Finnish Open Data and Open Knowledge scene since 2009.

As a civil servant in the Finnish Ministry of Justice, Teemu participated in the first OGP action plan drafting and consultations in 2013. In 2013-2014, he was involved in the Liberian OGP action plan implementation, from the civil society side. In 2016, he has been involved in planning of the Finnish action plan for 2017 onwards, from the civil society perspective.
