Mr. Vega is the Managing Director for Planning, Performance, and Systems in the Department of State's Office of U.S. Foreign Assistance Resources. Prior to this position, Mr. Vega held multiple positions at the United States Agency for International Development, including the Chief of Staff for the Office of Budget and Resource Management, Congressional Liaison Officer for the Middle East and Asia, and Policy Analyst in the Office of the Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Vega also served as a Professional Staff Member of the Majority Staff for the House Appropriations Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs. Prior to government service, Mr. Vega worked at the Missouri Campaign for Change, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund and the Missouri Public Defender. Mr. Vega is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and the University of Texas at Austin.
