Ollie Buckley is Deputy Director for Policy and International in the Data Group in the Government Digital Service, working to harness the opportunities advances in data-driven technologies present to improve policy making and public services. As part of this, Ollie leads work to consider a new social contract between the citizen and state on data; and to advance the wider open data and open government agendas. In 2013, Ollie led the team responsible for the UK's lead chairmanship of the Open Government Partnership, including staging the OGP Summit in London that year.

Ollie joined the Cabinet Office in 2010 - initially as Senior Policy Adviser in the Prime Minister's Strategy Unit, where he worked on social care policy and then on policies to support social action as part of the Big Society agenda. Before joining government, Ollie was a strategy consultant at Monitor Group (now Monitor Deloitte) advising foreign governments and large multinationals. He holds a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford.
