Dassen, Nicolás

Nicolás Dassen has a law degree (University of Buenos Aires, 1994) and an LL.M in International Legal Studies (New York University, 1997).

He works as a Modernization of the State Senior Specialist at the Institutional Capacity of the State Division, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). His areas of expertise are open government, transparency, accountability, public ethics and corruption control.

Before joining the Bank, he worked on governance and transparency issues at the Anticorruption Office from Argentina, the Judicial Council and the Argentine Congress. He was appointed lead expert of his country before the Follow Up Mechanism on the Implementation of the Inter-American Convention Against Corruption –IACAC- (2003). He also represented Argentina before the Working Group Against Bribery of Foreign Public Officials within the Organization for the Economic and Cooperation Development (2000-2003).
